Point 65 Martini GTX Angler Modular Fishing Kayak | Solo
The Martini GTX Angler by Point 65 might just be the most versatile, decked fishing kayak out there! Its modular, sit inside design allows for a safe, strong, and stable kayak while providing the amazing portability of all of Point 65’s modular kayaks. The solo version comes in 2 pieces and the tandem comes in 3, and these pieces snap together and apart in seconds. This “snap-ability” allows the Martini GTX Angler to break down into sections to fit in the back of most cars – making it by far the easiest-to-carry fishing kayak on the market.
The “snap-ability” mentioned above is Point 65’s revolutionary Snap-Tap technology – meaning the Martini GTX Angler snaps apart into back and front sections (the tandem version has a back, front, and middle section) and re-assembles in seconds. The coolest part about this is that you can have a solo and a tandem kayak in one! For those days you go out by yourself, leave out the mid section and you have a 10’, 300-lb. capacity, solo kayak. Bring someone along and snap in a mid section for a 14’, 530-lb. capacity tandem kayak! Or bring the whole party and snap in several mid sections! The record so far is a 100-man kayak built by adding middle sections to Point 65’s Tequila! sit on top recreational kayak! Instead of additional people, an extra mid section is a great way to create more space for gear, tackle, or cooler space! The solo version of the Martini GTX Angler does not come with a mid section, but we have them available for purchase!
The Martini GTX Angler is packed with “must have” features that kayak anglers demand. From lakes, to rivers, to the open ocean, this boat has no boundaries. The solo and the mid-section alike come equipped with rod holders. Two of these are integrated, flush-mounted behind the seat and one is on a deck mount in front of the paddler. This deck mounted rod holder can be removed and replaced with any compatible hardware of your liking. In addition, the Martini GTX Angler Solo is equipped with an additional deck mounts to enable the owner to add more rod holders or other equipment. Two large hatches offer dry storage for plenty of gear. The Martini Angler features a fish-o-meter on the side of the boat so you can measure your catch.
By using a spray deck around the cockpit, the paddler can experience a comfortable dry ride. The Martini GTX Angler is also equipped with Point 65’s amazing AIR seat. The AIR seat is super comfortable and has a pneumatically adjustable backrest. It’s made of honey-comb patterned material in combination with mesh-like fabric, which is laminated and molded over EVA foam. A hand pump allows the user to adjust the firmness.
If you’re looking for an extremely versatile fishing kayak that is easy to carry, store, and transport this is it!
I did the duct tape on the bail holes as manufacturer suggested for calm waters. This thing is awesome! I got it second hand and wishbthey still made out so I could buy more.
I received my Point65 Mojito kayak today. It arrived in good condition.
I was most surprised and PLEASED with the color. I ordered “yellow” vs. “red”, the two choices offered. My kayak is definitely NOT YELLOW. It is a paler creamy orange, with almost a hint of fluorescent to it. It LOOKS GREAT. To my eye, this color is much better than red or yellow. Had this been a color choice, I would have picked it. I point this out because someone with their heart set on a true yellow might be disappointed.
this was the perfect solution for my perception hook angler, not the greatest kayak in terms of having options for mounting gear tracks or fish finders but this made a very simple solution for just about all of my needs. had a slight machining defect in one of the lock n load slots but it's not a huge deal for me to not use that one.
After some questions about whether it was the correct size, I was told to use silicone spray to enable easy placement of the hatch cover. It works great! Such a quick turn around from order to delivery. And great communication with Kayak about my problems with getting the hatch cover on my boat.
Onve in awhile, you get great servuce backed by good people, who see tmyour order through and who give it a personal touch. Matt was helpful and kind and the products and service are wonderful. I love my kayak! Thank you, Kayak Creek, for being honest and so helpful. The photo is of my boyfriend on Thermalito Afterbay in his NuCanoe.
Great company to deal with. Matt worked hard to work out the details of getting me a canoe to me while I was on the road.
He arranged for me to pick my Frontier 12 in Denver, then when the manufacturer couldn’t fulfill my paddle order, he found a paddle for me through a competitor and arranged for it to be delivered to my next destination.
Then...... when I decided to purchase a casting bar Matt again worked out the details of getting it to me while I was still traveling.
His service was definitely above and beyond what one normally gets from even companies that offer great service.
Thanks for all your hard work Matt! You helped make an incredible fishing summer!
