Point 65 KingFisher Solo Modular Fishing Kayak | Gray

Generally I like the kayak design, portability, speed and maneuverability if its used with pedal drive.
However it could be a better quality for the price I paid. Steering handles were coming off constantly until the manufacturer sent me an upgraded version of this handles for free.
Another problem is the game chair. The chair started coming apart in the seems where the seat attached to backrest after only three trips on the water. I weigh 180 pounds so I don't think my weight is the problem here. Its still a good kayak but for that price range I expected more.

I was pretty skeptical that this kayak was stable enough to stand in for fly fishing, but thankfully I was wrong. After a few casts, I was able to adjust and cast as well as I do off land (if not better since I don't have to worry about my back cast ending up in trees/brush).

Another factor I did not anticipate is just how comfortable it is to be in this kayak. The ability to adjust the seat, stand, and just the design of the seat make it easy to stay in the kayak for 5+ hours at a time.

I would also like to mention the great service I received while purchasing the kayak. I ordered the impulse drive as well, but it happened to be on back-order when I made my order. Matt provided great communication to keep me up to date on the process and shipped it as soon as it was available. I will definitely shop through kayak creek again for any accessories I would like to add to this kayak.

My only real complaint with the kayak is that I feel the storage wells are slightly underwhelming. I don't think they're actually watertight if the kayak somehow fully submerged or flipped. I would have preferred a few buckle latches or something else to provide an air/watertight seal. Even with this though, I would still give the kayak a 5/5 for just how great it performs in every other aspect.

Really nice design. everything fits inside that I need for fishing, and I can transport it in my car! I got the pedal drive and am happy with it. great for when you’re fishing and don’t want to paddle.

I was super excited to get my kayak and it didn’t disappoint. I put it in the back of my truck, it takes a couple of tries to work out how to connect the pieces but then is fairly easy. The pieces hold together in the water and it feels stable enough when you move around and paddle. Happy with my boat & can’t wait for the tandem.
