TWO Kayaks in One...

In its 4-section, tandem form, the Point 65 Mercury GTX is an impressive, 18' high-performance expedition kayak. When you're out on your own, simply remove the middle cockpit section, and the Mercury GTX transforms into a 3-section, 14' solo kayak.

The sections of the Mercury GTX easily "snap" together and apart in just seconds, thanks to Point 65’s revolutionary "Snap-Tap technology". While storing and/or transporting your Mercury GTX, the front "nose" section fits snugly into the large front cockpit, making its broken-down size even more compact.

For being an 18' expedition kayak, the Mercury GTX is unbelievably easy and convenient to manage - even for 1 person!

Storage for You & Your Stuff...

The large size of the comfy padded cockpit makes for easy entry and exit, and fits almost any size paddler.

Two accessible, watertight. dry-hatch compartments provide plenty of storage space for your gear. To keep yourself dry, even in the roughest water conditions, just add either of Point 65's fitted spray skirts - the x-large Stormor OceanSpray Deck.

The Mercury GTX also comes fully equipped, sporting Point 65's innovative, efficient, ingenious keel rudder skeg set-up - the "Symmetry Skeg System". This Skeg System allows you to drop the skeg/rudder with tremendously improved maneuverability compared to normal "add-on" rudders, which are most common on kayaks.

KAYAK mercury GT point 65

My first kayak, and I think my first palindrome. Straps strip easy as had to replace one on first use, but I think with care straps will last. Easy to store; glad I went with a modular, especially with ability to use tandem or solo. But I still thin it is a shame that the word for a word that is the same spelled backwards as forward is not itself a palindrome. Matt at Kayakcreek was great.

1st day with my Point 65 Mercury

Took the kayak out for first time today with my wife, so set up as tandem. I watched a few Youtube videos on getting started so putting it together went smoothly as did disassembly. Seat was comfortable, we paddled for about 2 hours on a calm lake. So far we love it!

Fantastic kayak

I have owned this kayak for several years and it is pure freedom. It's so easy to put together, I keep it in my car for weeks at a time so I am ready to go anytime I have extra free time.

I can carry it and do everything by myself. It truly is my favorite item I own.

Very happy!

The kayak arrived within a matter of days and came very safely packaged (but not to the point where unwrapping and recycling of the packaging material was overwhelming). After placing my order online, I followed up with Matt once and he was extremely helpful and quick to respond. Everything arrived in perfect condition and nothing was missing from my order. I have already had a chance to take the kayak out once (and plan on going a few times this week as it's finally warming up over here) and enjoyed it a lot. Kayak fits in my car, is lightweight enough for me to carry around, assembles in absolutely no time at all (taking it apart takes me a few minutes longer), and it handles great on the river by my house. So much fun! Thank you!

Gorgeous color

I received my Point65 Mojito kayak today. It arrived in good condition.

I was most surprised and PLEASED with the color. I ordered “yellow” vs. “red”, the two choices offered. My kayak is definitely NOT YELLOW. It is a paler creamy orange, with almost a hint of fluorescent to it. It LOOKS GREAT. To my eye, this color is much better than red or yellow. Had this been a color choice, I would have picked it. I point this out because someone with their heart set on a true yellow might be disappointed.

Thanks for a good purchase experience.

Bracket installs easily with a single bolt. Im using it with a 55lb thrust troll motor and so far it holds up well at full power. No complaints

great option!

this was the perfect solution for my perception hook angler, not the greatest kayak in terms of having options for mounting gear tracks or fish finders but this made a very simple solution for just about all of my needs. had a slight machining defect in one of the lock n load slots but it's not a huge deal for me to not use that one.

After some questions about whether it was the correct size, I was told to use silicone spray to enable easy placement of the hatch cover. It works great! Such a quick turn around from order to delivery. And great communication with Kayak about my problems with getting the hatch cover on my boat.

Well made, works great!

I have had this kayak for almost 20 years. Bought before Innova owned the company! It has been durable & fun. With the tracking fin it does great on even large lakes, Table Rock & Rend Lakes. Light weight so I can pack it into smaller bodies of water, strip pits, ponds, & creeks. Great on Ozark streams & rivers. Comfortable & handles choppy waters well! Just don’t over inflate & keep out of the sun when not on the water!

Great company to deal with. Matt worked hard to work out the details of getting me a canoe to me while I was on the road.

He arranged for me to pick my Frontier 12 in Denver, then when the manufacturer couldn’t fulfill my paddle order, he found a paddle for me through a competitor and arranged for it to be delivered to my next destination.

Then...... when I decided to purchase a casting bar Matt again worked out the details of getting it to me while I was still traveling.

His service was definitely above and beyond what one normally gets from even companies that offer great service.
