STAR Paragon XL Inflatable Kayak from NRS

 

The STAR Paragon XL Inflatable Kayak by NRS combines the flat-water handling characteristics of a traditional kayak with the convenience of an inflatable. The Paragon XL adds 16 inches of length to the original Paragon to provide extra room for gear and provisions on extended tours. The Paragon's unique rigid keel inserts in the bow and stern provide outstanding tracking and stability.

 

A skeg plate in the stern, with included 5" and 9" interchangeable skegs, further enhances tracking. Bow and stern splash covers help keep you and your gear dry, and extensive bungee rigging gives you lots of options for lashing down additional equipment and supplies. The self-bailing Paragon's drop-stitch PVC floor insert inflates to a rigid 8-10 psi giving the paddler a stable and comfortable position above the water. A padded folding seat provides a strong and comfortable paddling position. The adjustable seat attaches quickly to D-rings in the boat, making the Paragon easy to set up, roll up and store. Two easy-to-use straps hold the drop-stitch floor insert securely in place.

 

STAR inflatable kayaks are built with advanced-formula PVC material using state-of-the-art seam welding technology, resulting in superior abrasion resistance, longevity and air retention.

Gorgeous color

I received my Point65 Mojito kayak today. It arrived in good condition.

I was most surprised and PLEASED with the color. I ordered “yellow” vs. “red”, the two choices offered. My kayak is definitely NOT YELLOW. It is a paler creamy orange, with almost a hint of fluorescent to it. It LOOKS GREAT. To my eye, this color is much better than red or yellow. Had this been a color choice, I would have picked it. I point this out because someone with their heart set on a true yellow might be disappointed.

great option!

this was the perfect solution for my perception hook angler, not the greatest kayak in terms of having options for mounting gear tracks or fish finders but this made a very simple solution for just about all of my needs. had a slight machining defect in one of the lock n load slots but it's not a huge deal for me to not use that one.

After some questions about whether it was the correct size, I was told to use silicone spray to enable easy placement of the hatch cover. It works great! Such a quick turn around from order to delivery. And great communication with Kayak about my problems with getting the hatch cover on my boat.

Well made, works great!

I have had this kayak for almost 20 years. Bought before Innova owned the company! It has been durable & fun. With the tracking fin it does great on even large lakes, Table Rock & Rend Lakes. Light weight so I can pack it into smaller bodies of water, strip pits, ponds, & creeks. Great on Ozark streams & rivers. Comfortable & handles choppy waters well! Just don’t over inflate & keep out of the sun when not on the water!

Great company to deal with. Matt worked hard to work out the details of getting me a canoe to me while I was on the road.

He arranged for me to pick my Frontier 12 in Denver, then when the manufacturer couldn’t fulfill my paddle order, he found a paddle for me through a competitor and arranged for it to be delivered to my next destination.

Then...... when I decided to purchase a casting bar Matt again worked out the details of getting it to me while I was still traveling.

His service was definitely above and beyond what one normally gets from even companies that offer great service.
