The Innova Halibut is the perfect fishing kayak to get into those secret fishing spots that your hard shell boat cannot - which is why this kayak is very popular amongst anglers. This 12’3” fishing kayak weighs in at only 46 lbs., but has an impressive maximum capacity of 441 lbs! Most brands’ inflatable boats only inflate to 2 psi – not Innova. Innova’s boats all inflate to an industry-leading 3 psi, which makes for greater control and a very firm hull. They are also made out of an ultra-tough, puncture and abrasion resistant rubber material called Nitrylon™. The Halibut fully inflates in less than 10 minutes, and when you’re through with it, packs nicely into an easy to carry 26 gallon dry transport bag. Since the Halibut is so easy to transport, there’s no reason not to take it with you on all outdoor expeditions, just in case you stumble upon a great fishing hole!
The Innova Halibut is made stable by a floor plank made of slip-resistant plywood. Its high-standing adjustable seat will provide you with great comfort while you’re out there trolling the waters. Fully-loaded is an understatement when it comes to the Halibut. This “angler’s dream” comes decked out with the following:
• Canon rod holder • Tracking fin • Attachable trays • Fish finder mounts • Metal probe bracket for sonar • Cup holders • Integrated splash decks • Anchor line • Paddle rests (paddle not included, but we have some here!) Here’s the bottom line: if you love fishing, the Halibut by Innova Kayaks is a no-brainer and a MUST have.

ABOUT THE MATERIAL: WHY INNOVA KAYAKS ARE SO TOUGH:
Founded over 20 years ago, Innova Kayaks is the North American distributor of popular European inflatable kayaks, manufactured by Gumotex in the Czech Republic. Since then, Innova has sold flat water and moderate whitewater inflatable boats.
Unlike many other inflatables, Innova Kayaks’ boats are made from rubber – not PVC. This rubber material, Nitrylon™, is a lamination of nitrile synthetic rubber and natural rubber over a 1,200-denier, low stretch polyester fabric. Nitrylon™ is very puncture and abrasion resistant, and considerably stronger and better performing than PVC. This same material is actually used in high-end, Zodiac-Type tenders and high-end whitewater rafts. Each Innova boat has 3 main air chambers, plus other small ones for seats, decks, etc. These air chambers inflate to 3 psi, instead of the 2 psi industry standard.
Green is one way to describe Innova Kayaks. PVC gives off dioxins into the environment. Not only is Nitrylon™ stronger and better performing than PVC, but it is also very eco-friendly. It can easily be recycled, and in 2010, Innova started the first inflatable kayak and canoe recycling program.
Convenience & Portability
In this day and age, people are traveling and moving around more than ever before in history. Convenience is becoming less of a luxury and more of a necessity. Innova’s boats fully inflate in just minutes, and when you’re done, they fold up small enough to fit into a bag the size of a small duffle bag. They are lightweight, very easy to carry and transport, and can be stored in tight places – even in an airplane as carry-on.
Awards & Recognition
Over the years, Innova Kayaks has been the recipient of many awards, endorsements, and features in the boat and boat fishing industries. The quality, convenience, and track record of Innova Kayaks proves that they have THE boats you want to own.

So very happy....5 stars!! Any help we needed they were there for us!! When we are ready to buy the next NuCanoe it will be from Mr. and Mrs. Mark Bohlin they are such wonderful people and very helpful and always making sure we are 100 % ready to get in the water with our new NuCanoe!!
This amazing Kayak fits easily inside a Honda Fit!
So much fun! Even comes with usable paddles.
It tracks OK, but does fill with water, so buy a pump or you will get wet.
It is so easy to put together, and take apart, only taking seconds.
My first kayak, and I think my first palindrome. Straps strip easy as had to replace one on first use, but I think with care straps will last. Easy to store; glad I went with a modular, especially with ability to use tandem or solo. But I still thin it is a shame that the word for a word that is the same spelled backwards as forward is not itself a palindrome. Matt at Kayakcreek was great.
This order was placed months ago. Not Kayak Creeks fault. Just the economy and lack of workers and materials. Kayak Creek has been awesome with communication about my order. Being it's late Autumn I'll wait till springtime to install the palm drive.
We took our Kayak out on its maiden voyage last weekend. The assembly/disassembly was super easy and quick even being my first time!!! It moved through the water great and tracking was excellent! Only issue was with me being 6' tall it was a tight fit. Great service from Matt on keeping me updated on delivery issues. Would recommend this Kayak to others!! Oh, I already did!!
Purchased the kayak earlier this year (February 2021) and waited about 2-3 months to receive the product from the manufacturer. These delays were communicated prior to the purchase by Kayak Creek as well as once the order was submitted. Upon receiving my order, it was noticed that at some point during shipping someone punctured the hull of the boat with a forklift tine. This damage was no fault of Kayak Creek’s nor Nucanoe, and was solely on the shipping company. After communicating with both Matt at Kayak Creek and multiple team members at Nucanoe, the issue was rectified in my favor and all parties went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of. Even with the hole in the hull, which I had patched with plastic welding, gator guard patches, and flex seal tape and spray, I am able to get out on the water for hours at a time with no worries about capsizing. All of my hunting/fishing buddies are wanting to pick one up for themselves as well as it is just an absolute tank. Flat ope. water with a dog, or tight skinny water that is a bit sketchy for even smaller boats, this boat will handle it all. Surprisingly I was able to just skate right through some rapids and rock gardens with having to get out maybe a handful of times.
Even copperheads jump at the chance to hop in the boat and give it a spin.
All in all, I am in love with this boat and aside from the shipping damage which was solely due to the freight company. could not thank Kayak Creek (namely Matt) and Nucanoe for making this experience a pleasurable one,
Great Kayak. I can throw it in the back of my kia sportage without help.
With 2 people at high speed the front creates a wake and slows down, which is not important to me as its just for recreation. I'm 5.11, my mom and dad 6.0 and 6.2. It is a pretty tight fit. I don't think someone taller than 6.2 would fit at all, and 6.0 seems to be the max in the front when put together for 2 people.
Over all I'm very happy with it and happy that it allows me to independently load and unload.
I was super happy with communication and help from Kayak Creek despite the expected COVID shipping delays.
Onve in awhile, you get great servuce backed by good people, who see tmyour order through and who give it a personal touch. Matt was helpful and kind and the products and service are wonderful. I love my kayak! Thank you, Kayak Creek, for being honest and so helpful. The photo is of my boyfriend on Thermalito Afterbay in his NuCanoe.
Great company to deal with. Matt worked hard to work out the details of getting me a canoe to me while I was on the road.
He arranged for me to pick my Frontier 12 in Denver, then when the manufacturer couldn’t fulfill my paddle order, he found a paddle for me through a competitor and arranged for it to be delivered to my next destination.
Then...... when I decided to purchase a casting bar Matt again worked out the details of getting it to me while I was still traveling.
His service was definitely above and beyond what one normally gets from even companies that offer great service.
Thanks for all your hard work Matt! You helped make an incredible fishing summer!
