Innova Kayaks Swing I Inflatable Kayak - Green
Innova Kayaks is finally introducing the Swing I inflatable kayak in green for 2017! The Swing I is the single-person version of its bigger brother, the tandem Swing II. The Swing I is a decked inflatable kayak that cuts through the water perfectly with its sharp lines. This boat responds well in lakes but scoffs at waves and more difficult class II waters. It only takes 5 minutes to inflate, and is easily packed away in a pillow-sized bag. Each Innova inflatable kayak is divided into 3 separate air chambers. A pressure relief valve is installed in the floor chamber to relieve possible over-pressure.
Hull
The Swing uses a highly-efficient “tubeless” system on its Nitrylon Lite™ hull. Nitrylon is a rip-stop polyester fabric, which is rubber coated on the interior for air retention, and Teflon treated on the outside for water repellency and stain resistance.
The air-holding seams of the hull are vulcanized and permanently bonded – similar to the way tires are vulcanized. Each chamber is individually tested at the factory for air retention.
The tubeless construction parallels what tire manufacturers went to decades ago – much lighter, but inflates to a higher pressure than competitors’ bladder kayaks (3psi vs. 2psi.). This higher pressure makes the boat stiffer and gives it a snappier paddling performance, especially in rougher water. Competitors’ inflatable kayaks are made using an unreinforced vinyl bladder inside a zip on skin. This makes the boat heavier, and could potentially allow water to get trapped inside, making it difficult to dry and pack away.
Decks
The decks of the Swing I are urethane-coated and have zippered access for ease of cleaning and gear storage. The aft zippered deck opens completely in 2 flaps for full access, and each deck has gear bungees. The decks are supported using aluminum arches fore and aft of the cockpit openings. The crosswise set of these arches give the deck shape and structure, and help give the Swing stiffness for when you’re paddling in rough water. When folding the kayak, you take the arches out for a compact folded size, or leave them in for a slightly bigger folded size.
The Swing also comes equipped with a carry handle on each end. If you want to stay dry while out there on the water, pick up a spray skirt in red or black!
Be sure to check out the “specs” tab for specifics about the Swing I, the “About Innova” tab to learn what makes Innova’s boats so tough and high quality, and the “Videos” tab to see the Swing I in action, how Innova kayaks inflate, and more!
I fish out of my NuCanoe Pursuit, and these foot pegs are a "must" for me in order to get more power and stability out of my paddle strokes. Great product.
So very happy....5 stars!! Any help we needed they were there for us!! When we are ready to buy the next NuCanoe it will be from Mr. and Mrs. Mark Bohlin they are such wonderful people and very helpful and always making sure we are 100 % ready to get in the water with our new NuCanoe!!
This amazing Kayak fits easily inside a Honda Fit!
So much fun! Even comes with usable paddles.
It tracks OK, but does fill with water, so buy a pump or you will get wet.
It is so easy to put together, and take apart, only taking seconds.
My first kayak, and I think my first palindrome. Straps strip easy as had to replace one on first use, but I think with care straps will last. Easy to store; glad I went with a modular, especially with ability to use tandem or solo. But I still thin it is a shame that the word for a word that is the same spelled backwards as forward is not itself a palindrome. Matt at Kayakcreek was great.
This order was placed months ago. Not Kayak Creeks fault. Just the economy and lack of workers and materials. Kayak Creek has been awesome with communication about my order. Being it's late Autumn I'll wait till springtime to install the palm drive.
We took our Kayak out on its maiden voyage last weekend. The assembly/disassembly was super easy and quick even being my first time!!! It moved through the water great and tracking was excellent! Only issue was with me being 6' tall it was a tight fit. Great service from Matt on keeping me updated on delivery issues. Would recommend this Kayak to others!! Oh, I already did!!
Purchased the kayak earlier this year (February 2021) and waited about 2-3 months to receive the product from the manufacturer. These delays were communicated prior to the purchase by Kayak Creek as well as once the order was submitted. Upon receiving my order, it was noticed that at some point during shipping someone punctured the hull of the boat with a forklift tine. This damage was no fault of Kayak Creek’s nor Nucanoe, and was solely on the shipping company. After communicating with both Matt at Kayak Creek and multiple team members at Nucanoe, the issue was rectified in my favor and all parties went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of. Even with the hole in the hull, which I had patched with plastic welding, gator guard patches, and flex seal tape and spray, I am able to get out on the water for hours at a time with no worries about capsizing. All of my hunting/fishing buddies are wanting to pick one up for themselves as well as it is just an absolute tank. Flat ope. water with a dog, or tight skinny water that is a bit sketchy for even smaller boats, this boat will handle it all. Surprisingly I was able to just skate right through some rapids and rock gardens with having to get out maybe a handful of times.
Even copperheads jump at the chance to hop in the boat and give it a spin.
All in all, I am in love with this boat and aside from the shipping damage which was solely due to the freight company. could not thank Kayak Creek (namely Matt) and Nucanoe for making this experience a pleasurable one,
Great Kayak. I can throw it in the back of my kia sportage without help.
With 2 people at high speed the front creates a wake and slows down, which is not important to me as its just for recreation. I'm 5.11, my mom and dad 6.0 and 6.2. It is a pretty tight fit. I don't think someone taller than 6.2 would fit at all, and 6.0 seems to be the max in the front when put together for 2 people.
Over all I'm very happy with it and happy that it allows me to independently load and unload.
I was super happy with communication and help from Kayak Creek despite the expected COVID shipping delays.
Onve in awhile, you get great servuce backed by good people, who see tmyour order through and who give it a personal touch. Matt was helpful and kind and the products and service are wonderful. I love my kayak! Thank you, Kayak Creek, for being honest and so helpful. The photo is of my boyfriend on Thermalito Afterbay in his NuCanoe.
Great company to deal with. Matt worked hard to work out the details of getting me a canoe to me while I was on the road.
He arranged for me to pick my Frontier 12 in Denver, then when the manufacturer couldn’t fulfill my paddle order, he found a paddle for me through a competitor and arranged for it to be delivered to my next destination.
Then...... when I decided to purchase a casting bar Matt again worked out the details of getting it to me while I was still traveling.
His service was definitely above and beyond what one normally gets from even companies that offer great service.
Thanks for all your hard work Matt! You helped make an incredible fishing summer!
