About Boblbee/Point 65
Boblbee by Point 65
Beginnings
The idea behind Point 65 came from the magical place of Point 65° North. It is the island, Rönnskär, near the Northern City of Skellefteå, Sweden and the home of the Pite-Rönnskär lighthouse. It was built in 1905, and is surrounded by hundreds of islands – ideal for exploring the outdoors. The islands’ beauty combined with the engineering and ingenuity of the lighthouse were the essence of what the Point 65 brand wanted to achieve.
Founded in 1996, Point 65 is now the leading outdoor brand in Europe, and one of the fastest growing outdoor brands in the world. Point 65’s products are sold all over the world, with innovation as their hallmark.
Point 65 has been the recipient of numerous awards and recognition from multiple renowned kayaking magazines and authorities.
Philosophy
Dedicated to quality, form, and function, Point 65 is innovative, their products are functional, and their design is Scandinavian. Their mission is to inspire people to use the outdoors, through innovative, unique, and outstanding products.
Point 65 is the company behind the ingenious, practical, modular take-apart kayaks, and the Rum Runner modular stand up paddleboard (SUP). These modular water crafts easily snap together to form one solid boat, and snap apart for easy transportation and storage.
On top of their modular kayaks and the Rum Runner modular standup paddleboard, Point 65 also offers a wide range of state-of-the-art bags and hard shell backpacks - which double as the highest rated spine protectors in the world while protecting and keeping your gear dry. These packs were previously known as “Boblbee”.
The Point 65 Team
Point 65 has some amazing members on their team. These members include the ultimate test paddler, Freya Hoffmeister, one of the leading designers in Scandinavia, Magnus De Brito, and the living paddling legend, Nigel Foster.
Magnus De Brito brought advanced marine technology with him to Point 65. He designed the award-winning modular kayaks Apollo, Tequila!, Martini, and Mercury, and also the Rum Runner modular standup paddleboard. He also designs state-of-the-art touring kayaks, such as the XP18, XP18 Spyder, and the Freya Expedition. The Freya Expedition was named after Freya Hoffmeister, and she also helped Magnus design it.
Nigel Foster – referred to by many as a living paddling legend – strengthened the Point 65 team in 2004, by bringing his legacy and the history of modern paddling with him. Not only is Nigel Foster an international kayak teacher and icon of modern sea kayaking, he has also designed 6 sea kayaks, and his international reputation is built on his designs. Nigel is the designer behind Point 65’s Whisky 16, Double Shot, and Nigel Foster Paddles.

I bought this for the fam, the price was fair but I need more pieces for all the fam (not just my favorite kids after all)--Spoke to Matt, he was cool, thanks again!
Although we have not been able to try out the kayak yet; the customer service is awesome. The order was delayed because they were making more beach models. I was apprised of the status all along the way. Refreshing for sure!
Bought the NuCanoe Frontier 12 for hunting, the quality is excellent and it has a lot of room. the only complaint is the T-track are composite and not aluminum. Took longer than excepted to get the kayak, but had a good experience buying from this website. Would buy from here again.
We are so ready to take this bad boy out-of course the weather hasn't allowed us to yet!
The quality is impeccable and I can tell it will make for many great adventures on the water. So happy we ordered the 360 swivel seats for ultimate casting abilities or to just enjoy a cold one with your partner! The customer service was great, and I was always given timely updates. The wait was worth it! Thanks yall!
The nucanoe flint is an excellent kayak to fish out of that tracks extremely well and is very stable. I would recommend this kayak to any level of kayak fisherman.
Great fishing kayak, very stable and sturdy. Not as speedy as I might have liked but was planning on a trolling motor mount on the front when I purchased. Love the folks at Kayak Creek and NuCanoe. Could not be happier with everyone I have had the opportunity to talk with.
I bought an Innova Swing 1 kayak and then ordered the spray skirt as I want to continue kayaking even when the weather changes. The skirt is easy to set and protect while adding some warmth.
Having a great time with this equipment. We have used it on calm river water. Paddles have performed well for us. Very convenient that they come apart for easier transport. Matt at Kayak Creek was very helpful. Recommended products !
I use the Martini in solo configuration for photography on flat water: ponds, lakes, creeks. It is a maneuverable and stable platform that gets me into areas that would be difficult to reach by foot. My present tripod configuration ( it is always evolving) can be securely bungeed to the interior tubular keel. The kayak fits easily into the back of my Honda Element- no roof rack or open tailgate needed. The Martini always draws favorable attention and questions from other kayakers. I've had it for about a year, and have had no problems. It is well-designed and very durable.
Although Covid interfered with the delivery of our KingFisher, it has now arrived and is beautiful. Throughout the purchase process, Matt was very knowledgeable and had answers to all our questions in a timely manner. Looking forward to our maiden voyage!
Onve in awhile, you get great servuce backed by good people, who see tmyour order through and who give it a personal touch. Matt was helpful and kind and the products and service are wonderful. I love my kayak! Thank you, Kayak Creek, for being honest and so helpful. The photo is of my boyfriend on Thermalito Afterbay in his NuCanoe.
Great company to deal with. Matt worked hard to work out the details of getting me a canoe to me while I was on the road.
He arranged for me to pick my Frontier 12 in Denver, then when the manufacturer couldn’t fulfill my paddle order, he found a paddle for me through a competitor and arranged for it to be delivered to my next destination.
Then...... when I decided to purchase a casting bar Matt again worked out the details of getting it to me while I was still traveling.
His service was definitely above and beyond what one normally gets from even companies that offer great service.
Thanks for all your hard work Matt! You helped make an incredible fishing summer!
Huge shout out to Matt! I was shopping around and looking to purchase my first kayak. I had very specific needs and a lot of questions as a newbie.
Making a big investment without seeing the product was a big leap for me but working Matt helped me through this process (before and even after the purchase!)
He was showed a lot of patience and followed up with my many questions, enough that I had enough information and confidence to pull the trigger.
I selected the point 65 kingfisher as storage and transportation was a key factor for me. this kayak breaks down to a manageable size that eventually I can put into my storage closet when not in use, making both me and my girlfriend happy!
The communication and support Matt and Kayak Creek provided exceeded my expectations.
I even referred my cousin who is also in the market for a kayak to Kayak Creek.
This is my initial review and I may post an update when I have new to offer but so far a great experience! Thanks Matt!
