Point 65 Martini GTX Angler Solo Modular Kayak - Green Cammo
The Martini GTX Angler by Point 65 might just be the most versatile, decked fishing kayak out there! Its modular, sit inside design allows for a safe, strong, and stable kayak while providing the amazing portability of all of Point 65’s modular kayaks. The solo version comes in 2 pieces and the tandem comes in 3, and these pieces snap together and apart in seconds. This “snap-ability” allows the Martini GTX Angler to break down into sections to fit in the back of most cars – making it by far the easiest-to-carry fishing kayak on the market.
The “snap-ability” mentioned above is Point 65’s revolutionary Snap-Tap technology – meaning the Martini GTX Angler snaps apart into back and front sections (the tandem version has a back, front, and middle section) and re-assembles in seconds. The coolest part about this is that you can have a solo and a tandem kayak in one! For those days you go out by yourself, leave out the mid section and you have a 10’, 300-lb. capacity, solo kayak. Bring someone along and snap in a mid section for a 14’, 530-lb. capacity tandem kayak! Or bring the whole party and snap in several mid sections! The record so far is a 100-man kayak built by adding middle sections to Point 65’s Tequila! sit on top recreational kayak! Instead of additional people, an extra mid section is a great way to create more space for gear, tackle, or cooler space! The solo version of the Martini GTX Angler does not come with a mid section, but we have them available for purchase!
The Martini GTX Angler is packed with “must have” features that kayak anglers demand. From lakes, to rivers, to the open ocean, this boat has no boundaries. The solo and the mid-section alike come equipped with rod holders. Two of these are integrated, flush-mounted behind the seat and one is on a deck mount in front of the paddler. This deck mounted rod holder can be removed and replaced with any compatible hardware of your liking. In addition, the Martini GTX Angler Solo is equipped with an additional deck mounts to enable the owner to add more rod holders or other equipment. Two large hatches offer dry storage for plenty of gear. The Martini Angler features a fish-o-meter on the side of the boat so you can measure your catch.
By using a spray deck around the cockpit, the paddler can experience a comfortable dry ride. The Martini GTX Angler is also equipped with Point 65’s amazing AIR seat. The AIR seat is super comfortable and has a pneumatically adjustable backrest. It’s made of honey-comb patterned material in combination with mesh-like fabric, which is laminated and molded over EVA foam. A hand pump allows the user to adjust the firmness.
If you’re looking for an extremely versatile fishing kayak that is easy to carry, store, and transport this is it!

About Point 65
Point 65 Beginnings
The idea behind Point 65 came from the magical place of Point 65° North. It is the island, Rönnskär, near the Northern City of Skellefteå, Sweden and the home of the Pite-Rönnskär lighthouse. It was built in 1905, and is surrounded by hundreds of islands – ideal for exploring the outdoors. The islands’ beauty combined with the engineering and ingenuity of the lighthouse were the essence of what the Point 65 brand wanted to achieve.
Founded in 1996, Point 65 is now the leading outdoor brand in Europe, and one of the fastest growing outdoor brands in the world. Point 65’s products are sold all over the world, with innovation as their hallmark.
Point 65 has been the recipient of numerous awards and recognition from multiple renowned kayaking magazines and authorities.
Dedicated to quality, form, and function, Point 65 is innovative, their products are functional, and their design is Scandinavian. Their mission is to inspire people to use the outdoors, through innovative, unique, and outstanding products.
Point 65 is the company behind the ingenious, practical, modular take-apart kayaks, and the Rum Runner modular stand up paddleboard (SUP). These modular water crafts easily snap together to form one solid boat, and snap apart for easy transportation and storage.
On top of their modular kayaks and the Rum Runner modular standup paddleboard, Point 65 also offers a wide range of state-of-the-art bags and hard shell backpacks - which double as the highest rated spine protectors in the world while protecting and keeping your gear dry. These packs were previously known as “Boblbee”.
The Point 65 Team
Point 65 has some amazing members on their team. These members include the ultimate test paddler, Freya Hoffmeister, one of the leading designers in Scandinavia, Magnus De Brito, and the living paddling legend, Nigel Foster.
Magnus De Brito brought advanced marine technology with him to Point 65. He designed the award-winning modular kayaks Apollo, Tequila!, Martini, and Mercury, and also the Rum Runner modular standup paddleboard. He also designs state-of-the-art touring kayaks, such as the XP18, XP18 Spyder, and the Freya Expedition. The Freya Expedition was named after Freya Hoffmeister, and she also helped Magnus design it.
Nigel Foster – referred to by many as a living paddling legend – strengthened the Point 65 team in 2004, by bringing his legacy and the history of modern paddling with him. Not only is Nigel Foster an international kayak teacher and icon of modern sea kayaking, he has also designed 6 sea kayaks, and his international reputation is built on his designs. Nigel is the designer behind Point 65’s Whiskey 16, Double Shot, and Nigel Foster Paddles.

We had an awesome experience buying the Advanced Element Kayak, which arrived in a few boxes and it was so easy to inflate right before we enjoyed a nice time at the lake nearby. We highly recommend Creek Kayak for their friendly and fast service!
Nice upgrade from the buckles that originally came with my pieces. I was concerned that the plastic would not be as resilient as the originals, but the clipping mechanism is smooth and they have held up so far. Fast shipping!
My Nucanoe Frontier 12 arrived when promised and in perfect condition. When the second seat arrived with a low seat base, I called Matt and he immediately shipped a higher seat base which arrived a couple of days later. I also received a very nice “Free” paddle with my purchase. Matt must have considered the color of my kayak when he chose the paddle because the colors were very complementary. I would highly recommend Matt and Kayak Creek to anyone looking to purchase a new kayak or accessories.
I really like the boat, Some more information on the set up and location of the adapter valves would be helpful in the package. The set up video could provide some helpful hints but otherwise a great boat and light weight.
Point 65 Martini GTX Modular Kayak - a fun well, engineered kayak
Matt at Kayak Creek provided excellent service! He patiently answered all our questions during several phone calls before making our decision. Delivery of our Point 65 Martini GTX Solo Modular Kayak was prompt, as promised. It's easy-to assemble and travels smoothly on the water. The yellow-orange color is beautiful - distinctive and eye-catching!
I have always wanted to get a kayak, but because if my small frame, I had trouble lifting one over my shoulder to get on a roof rack. I was looking into inflatable and foldable kayaks and found this. It was the perfect solution. Fits in my Mazda 3 hatchback and performs very well for a recreational kayak. Pivots very well and I love the rudder. The 2 sections snaps together very easily and feels really sturdy in the water. Separating the 2 sections is not quite as easy, but once you get the hang of it, it won't be a problem. This was one of the best investments I've ever made. :)
I was pretty skeptical that this kayak was stable enough to stand in for fly fishing, but thankfully I was wrong. After a few casts, I was able to adjust and cast as well as I do off land (if not better since I don't have to worry about my back cast ending up in trees/brush).
Another factor I did not anticipate is just how comfortable it is to be in this kayak. The ability to adjust the seat, stand, and just the design of the seat make it easy to stay in the kayak for 5+ hours at a time.
I would also like to mention the great service I received while purchasing the kayak. I ordered the impulse drive as well, but it happened to be on back-order when I made my order. Matt provided great communication to keep me up to date on the process and shipped it as soon as it was available. I will definitely shop through kayak creek again for any accessories I would like to add to this kayak.
My only real complaint with the kayak is that I feel the storage wells are slightly underwhelming. I don't think they're actually watertight if the kayak somehow fully submerged or flipped. I would have preferred a few buckle latches or something else to provide an air/watertight seal. Even with this though, I would still give the kayak a 5/5 for just how great it performs in every other aspect.
Easy for me to move each piece. Was easy to cary down to water edge and put together. Stayed dry while out in water. A little tough to unhook by myself yet, but very new so I may learn how to disassemble easier as time goes on. But over all super excited for my purchases.
Easy to put together, stable on the water, easy to carry and store, very comfortable seating with enough leg room. Versatile. Read instructions for carrying though, ignoring them could depreciate the strength of the bindings! Overall — excellent, thus far.
I received my kayak and it is in excellent condition! The packaging was very well done and not a scratch on it. The driver was extremely helpful. His truck was too tall to make it down the tree and clear the neighborhood trees so we arranged a time and good place to meet to pick up our Martini in our truck. The driver had a busy day of deliveries but was able to work out a time that was convenient for us to pick it up. Each piece was expertly packed in its own box. I have unpacked all the pieces. I have not been able to take it in the water yet but it looks very well constructed and stable. Plus it has a rudder! I can’t wait to take it out. What I wish the kayak had is a handle to transport it to water’s edge. Without a handle it is cumbersome and heavy. Definitely a two person job. I am going to use it on a lake with a lot of heavy motor boat activity and therefore I purchased a sit in rather than a sit upon. I already own a 65 Point North Tequila sit upon that I use in calm water. It has been a superb purchase.
Best of all, I order a set of paddles and free paddle was included in my order. Now I am anxious to get out on the water. I have made several purchases from kayak creek and consistently had good service.
I recently ordered hardware to carry on my Point 65 Martini modular kayak. The online ordering process was quick, the delivery of the parts fast. My kayak’s original hardware is in great shape and doesn’t need replacing. I just wanted to have spares handy for a trip planned later this year.
I placed an order for spare parts for my Point 65N Martiini modular kayak. The Martini is performing well with no issues- I just wanted to have spares available for a trip later this Summer (I hope). Kayak Creek delivered the complete order promptly. Wonderful advice and service from the company before and after the initial sale!
This kayak was delivered quickly and I'm excellent condition. She handles very well in most conditions leaving little to ask for. Finding a spray deck that fit right was a little tricky, but not impossible
Huge shout out to Matt! I was shopping around and looking to purchase my first kayak. I had very specific needs and a lot of questions as a newbie.
Making a big investment without seeing the product was a big leap for me but working Matt helped me through this process (before and even after the purchase!)
He was showed a lot of patience and followed up with my many questions, enough that I had enough information and confidence to pull the trigger.
I selected the point 65 kingfisher as storage and transportation was a key factor for me. this kayak breaks down to a manageable size that eventually I can put into my storage closet when not in use, making both me and my girlfriend happy!
The communication and support Matt and Kayak Creek provided exceeded my expectations.
I even referred my cousin who is also in the market for a kayak to Kayak Creek.
This is my initial review and I may post an update when I have new to offer but so far a great experience! Thanks Matt!
I truly appreciated the customer service Matt Morel provided. The kayak I wanted was back ordered by the company, and he kept me updated on the progress for months. He was kind, helpful and a pleasure to work with. Thank you Kayak Creek for your awesome employee.
I did a lot of research on inflatable kayaks. Wanted quality and was willing to pay more for it. Materials was a significant factor. Once I decided on the kayak, ordering from KayakCreek was a most comfortable experience. Matt was very helpful and after finally making my choice and order, I received the kayak in a very timely manner. Great doing online business with Matt and KayakCreek.
