Point 65 Martini GTX Modular Kayak - Back Section - Blue

* THIS IS A SPECIAL-ORDER COLOR WHICH MAY NEED TO BE SHIPPED FROM OVERSEAS. POTENTIAL WAIT TIME COULD BE 2-12+ WEEKS, DEPENDING ON TIME OF YEAR. PLEASE CONTACT US BEFORE ORDERING IF YOU'RE CONCERNED WITH TIMING! *

The Martini GTX is high-performance, decked, modular recreational touring kayak created by award-winning design engineer Magnus de Brito. It’s a fun, versatile, and high-performance kayak with a roomy and comfortable cockpit, making it easy to handle in and out of the water. This is by far the easiest-to-carry recreational kayak on the market, making it perfect for both kids and adults. The solo version comes in 2 pieces and the tandem comes in 3, and these pieces snap together and apart in seconds.  This “snap-ability” makes a solid, stable, and strong kayak which breaks down to fit in the back of most cars.

The “snap-ability” mentioned above is Point 65’s revolutionary Snap-Tap technology – meaning the Martini GTX snaps apart into back and front sections (the tandem version has a back, front, and middle section) and re-assembles in seconds. The coolest part about this is that you can have a solo and a tandem kayak in one! For those days you go out by yourself, leave out the mid section and you have a solo kayak. Bring someone along and snap in a mid section for a tandem kayak! Or bring the whole party and snap in several mid sections! The record so far is a 100-man kayak built by adding middle sections to Point 65’s Tequila! sit on top recreational kayak! The solo version of the Martini GTX does not come with a mid section, but we have them available for purchase!

The Martini GTX features thigh braces for improved control, multiple cup holders, an integrated rudder, and easily adjustable rudder pedals. The large, oval and smaller, round dry-hatches give you plenty of bone-dry storage space. Add the optional fitted spray cover and enjoy a dry ride, even in the roughest conditions. The Martini GTX is prepared to accommodate aftermarket fishing equipment, and its multiple paddleparks frees your hand to handle all the fishing you need. The molded in fish-o-meter helps in measuring your catch.

The Martini GTX is also equipped with Point 65’s AIR seat. The AIR seat is super comfortable and has a pneumatically adjustable backrest. It’s made of honey-comb patterned material in combination with mesh-like fabric, which is laminated and molded over EVA foam. A hand pump allows the user to adjust the firmness.

So, if you’re looking for an amazing, all-around kayak with plenty of leg room, the Point 65 Martini is for you!

Point 65 Beginnings

The idea behind Point 65 came from the magical place of Point 65° North. It is the island, Rönnskär, near the Northern City of Skellefteå, Sweden and the home of the Pite-Rönnskär lighthouse. It was built in 1905, and is surrounded by hundreds of islands – ideal for exploring the outdoors.  The islands’ beauty combined with the engineering and ingenuity of the lighthouse were the essence of what the Point 65 brand wanted to achieve.

Founded in 1996, Point 65 is now the leading outdoor brand in Europe, and one of the fastest growing outdoor brands in the world.   Point 65’s products are sold all over the world, with innovation as their hallmark.

Point 65 has been the recipient of numerous awards and recognition from multiple renowned kayaking magazines and authorities.

Philosophy

Dedicated to quality, form, and function, Point 65 is innovative, their products are functional, and their design is Scandinavian. Their mission is to inspire people to use the outdoors, through innovative, unique, and outstanding products.

Point 65 is the company behind the ingenious, practical, modular take-apart kayaks, and the Rum Runner modular stand up paddleboard (SUP). These modular water crafts easily snap together to form one solid boat, and snap apart for easy transportation and storage.

On top of their modular kayaks and the Rum Runner modular standup paddleboard, Point 65 also offers a wide range of state-of-the-art bags and hard shell backpacks - which double as the highest rated spine protectors in the world while protecting and keeping your gear dry. These packs were previously known as “Boblbee”.

The Point 65 Team

Point 65 has some amazing members on their team. These members include the ultimate test paddler, Freya Hoffmeister, one of the leading designers in Scandinavia, Magnus De Brito, and the living paddling legend, Nigel Foster.

Magnus De Brito brought advanced marine technology with him to Point 65. He designed the award-winning modular kayaks Apollo, Tequila!, Martini, and Mercury, and also the Rum Runner modular standup paddleboard. He also designs state-of-the-art touring kayaks, such as the XP18, XP18 Spyder, and the Freya Expedition. The Freya Expedition was named after Freya Hoffmeister, and she also helped Magnus design it.

Nigel Foster – referred to by many as a living paddling legend – strengthened the Point 65 team in 2004, by bringing his legacy and the history of modern paddling with him. Not only is Nigel Foster an international kayak teacher and icon of modern sea kayaking, he has also designed 6 sea kayaks, and his international reputation is built on his designs. Nigel is the designer behind Point 65’s Whiskey 16, Double Shot, and Nigel Foster Paddles

Order Confirmation

As soon as you place your order, you will receive an order confirmation e-mail.  This means that we have received your order in our system and pre-authorized your credit card for the purchase.  As soon as we receive your order, we automatically reach out to our suppliers to confirm that it is in stock and available for immediate shipment.  If your item is on backorder or unavailable, we will void the pre-authorization and reach out to you via e-mail.  If your item(s) are available for immediate shipment (within 5 business days), we will process the charges and submit the order for shipment.

Order Shipment

If your order is in stock and we process the charges to your credit card, it will ship within five business days from the date of your order.  We will send you tracking information within 24 hours of your order leaving the warehouse to the e-mail address you provided when checking out.  If you do not receive tracking information from us within six business days of your order, feel free to follow up with us at info@KayakCreek.com.

We can also do next day, 2 day, or 3 day shipping for most items (excluding those shipping freight). This is at the customer's expense. If you would like one of these services, please call or email us before placing your order.

Delivery

All solid and modular kayaks ship via LTL freight. The shipping company will call you, usually the day before or the day of the expected delivery date, to schedule a delivery time. This is "curb-side delivery", so someone must be home and available to sign for the package and take it from the back of the truck. Please see our Returns page HERE for details/info about signing for your package and damages. If the shipping company is unable to get ahold of you and the package is returned to us, you will be liable for shipping charges (both to you and back to us), and any restocking/misc. fees involved.

The freight companies we use are usually very good with accommodating for our customers on a delivery day and time. Please note that while the shippers are usually fine with holding the package for a day or two for a delivery appointment, if it goes any longer than that, storage fees may start to accumulate. In any case, if storage fees are accumulated, they will be the responsibility of the customer (you) to pay.

"Built to Order" Orders

There are certain brands of boats that we sell that we do not stock in-house, simply because they offer a ton of different color combinations, packages, etc.. These brands' boats will be shipped directly to you from the manufacturer. In some cases, the manufacturer will have the color you ordered in their inventory and almost ready to ship out. In the event that they do not have the color/package/etc that you ordered in their inventory, they will manufacture it on the spot for you!

If the item is in their inventory, it will typically ship out within 1-2 weeks. This is because the item will need to be packaged and an appointment will need to be made for a freight carrier to come pick it up.

If the item is not in their inventory and needs to be manufactured, it will typically ship out within 2-4 weeks (usually closer to the 3 week mark).

Please keep in mind that these are estimated shipping times are not guaranteed, and may vary depending on the time of year ordered. After you place your order, we will email you with an "expected completion date" of when the item is expected to be done with the manufacturing process, packaged, and ready to ship (this is not a "delivered to you" date).

Once shipped, transit time is typically anywhere from 2-5 business days, depending on your distance from the manufacturer.

In the vast majority of orders, we are able to beat these timelines! We just want to make sure that we are very transparent with the process and the time involved.
